SPORTS NEWS

  • Jahni Kerr hit two home runs to lead FSU softball to a 4-0 upset win over Florida on Wednesday before a sold-out crowd of 1,737 at JoAnne Graf Field. The win improved FSU's record to 34-5 while Florida's fell to 33-6 and coach Lonni Alameda said Kerr's performance was crucial as she faces treatment for breast cancer.  GatorSports
  • Florida coach Todd Golden and analytics coach Jonathan Safir use data to guide team strategy, such as when guard Will Richard played extra minutes despite foul trouble in the Elite Eight to help the Gators reach their first Final Four since 2014.
