- ➤ Jennifer Knapp performed at the local bar The Bull on March 27 and drew longtime fans and new listeners with her message of open and inclusive faith. The musician, who came out in 2010, showed that her music bridges the gap between queer and Christian communities—highlighting growth and acceptance—while inspiring others. - ➤ The Alachua County School Board and the teacher’s union will meet to discuss teacher salaries as educators and students push for a larger raise while district leaders insist funds are limited + further talks will decide next steps. WCJB
- ➤ UF is looking to name a new president who could earn up to $3 million a year—$1 million more than what was offered to former president Ben Sasse. Minutes from a Feb. 25 meeting show the board authorized Mercer to draft the package for market trends, and finalist talks may start as early as April. The Independent Florida Alligator

- ➤ On the SEC Football Unfiltered podcast, hosts Blake Toppmeyer and John Adams said Florida's Walter Clayton Jr.—who made a key 3-pointer against Texas Tech—is leading the Gators as they prepare to face Duke in the Final Four despite oddsmakers favoring Duke. The hosts argued that Florida’s blend of veteran guards and balanced scoring offers a better chance against Duke than Auburn would if Duke advances to the championship. GatorSports
- ➤ Jahni Kerr hit two home runs to lead FSU softball to a 4-0 upset win over Florida on Wednesday before a sold-out crowd of 1,737 at JoAnne Graf Field.
