Local artist Yaw Owusu Shangofemi unveiled his wrought iron sculpture Nommo at Dreamer’s Garden today in Gainesville during a celebration featuring West African music, food and performances.
The artwork draws inspiration from the Gullah Geechee culture and honors ancestral traditions.

No. 23 Florida meets Colgate today at the Stephen C.
O'Connell Center. The matchup is the first in program history and comes during a three-game homestand as the Gators look to build on their recent offensive success.
FHSAA announced new high school football classifications that will change local districts beginning in 2026.
