- ➤ Dr. Richard Brust will speak about his book Chambers v. Florida and the Criminal Justice Revolution at the Matheson History Museum at 7 p.m. on November 12—he will explain how a 1933 trial in Pompano led to the Supreme Court setting legal protections that still affect rights today. - ➤ Florida football has 13 players out for today's SEC game against Kentucky, including wide receiver Eugene Wilson III with an ankle sprain—Dallas Wilson with a broken foot is also sidelined, along with defensive tackle Caleb Banks and running back Ja'Kobi Jackson. - ➤ After firing Billy Napier on Oct. 19, Florida Gators and UF athletic director Scott Stricklin began a nationwide search for a coach who can win championships. If Ole Miss makes the College Football Playoffs and Lane Kiffin stays at Oxford, Missouri’s Eli Drinkwitz is seen as a strong alternative for the Gators—though acquiring him would require a substantial buyout.
