- ➤ Dance Alive National Ballet invites community members to attend the groundbreaking of their new Khoury Family Center for the Arts set for August 28 at 9 a.m. at 3939 NW 34th Street—parking is available at Gethsemane Lutheran Church and the venue will later include a Dance and Music Academy, community outreach programs, an art gallery and a Black Box Theatre. Cellon Jr. Institute for Skilled Trades and Advanced Manufacturing on August 19th at its Northwest Campus to expand programs in welding and HVAC as AI changes job demands. - ➤ UF Board of Trustees named Dr. Donald Landry, a Columbia professor, as the interim president on August 25—he replaces Kent Fuchs and his appointment follows the rejection of Dr. Santa Ono.
