- ➤ Gainesville High School history teacher Lauren Watts is on administrative leave as district and state officials investigate serious bullying allegations. - ➤ The City of Gainesville announced that crews will remove and replace three rainbow crosswalks downtown tomorrow—following a FDOT letter that requires all crosswalks to meet federal standards, crews will close one lane at a time with detours in place and finish work by Sept. 4 to avoid state fund cuts.
