- ➤ Jillian Colosimo, a 22-year-old UF alum, broke tradition by becoming the first female drum captain and center snare for the Fightin’ Gator Marching Band for the 2024–25 academic year—her leadership has inspired high school students and reshaped the drumline. The Independent Florida Alligator
- ➤ The University of Florida Fightin’ Gator Marching Band named Jillian Colosimo its first female drum captain and center snare, breaking a tradition that spanned over 100 years.
