  • Alachua County deputies broke up a block party in northern Hawthorne where three people were stabbed.  WCJB
  • On June 26, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office booked several individuals with charges ranging from sex offender registration failures to resisting officers and drug-related offenses — the public log shows birthdays and alleged offense details at the time of arrest.  Alachua Chronicle

  • The National Hurricane Center is tracking Invest 91L, which formed in the Caribbean on June 26 and is expected to briefly intensify and dump rain on eastern Mexico before moving inland early next week — local weather remains calm in Gainesville with no tropical system threatening the area at this time.  The Gainesville Sun
