- ➤ Former Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson hosted the Skills Academy on Saturday at Citizens Park where over 450 kids learned football and life skills—he hopes to make the free event annual. WCJB

- ➤ Crystle Galluzzo, who was injured in a March motorcycle and car crash that led to the amputation of her right leg and a traumatic cardiac arrest from which first responders revived her during transport, thanked Fire Crew 81—whose quick actions saved her life—for their help as she begins recovery. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A motion hearing is scheduled for Tuesday for Bryan Howard—accused of crashing into a farm bus and causing the deaths of eight people. WCJB
- ➤ Gainesville man Glenn David MacCallum, 51, was arrested yesterday in Alachua after officers responded to a road rage call on U.S. Hwy 441 and found him pointing a loaded gun in his waistband—he now faces charges of aggravated assault and driving with a suspended license. Alachua Chronicle

- ➤ Florida lawmakers left property tax cuts out of the state budget, and leaders will study how changes might affect local governments. A vote on a possible tax cut may come on the 2026 ballot but any cuts will not start until 2027—homeowners must wait for relief. The Gainesville Sun
