- ➤ Gator football alum and Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson will host a free youth camp—Anthony Richardson Football Skills Academy—in his hometown of Gainesville on June 21 at Citizens Park; registration starts at 8:00 a.m. with camp beginning at 9:00 a.m. His mother will host a parent summit to help families support their young athletes. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Jordan Welch, a 19-year-old Gainesville man, was arrested Tuesday for first-degree attempted murder and possession of a short-barreled shotgun after a gang-related shooting at Grove Apartments on March 16—bullets struck apartments and vehicles without causing injuries. - ➤ Dance Alive National Ballet will host a weeklong summer dance camp for children with special needs at Oak View Park from July 7 – July 11, running daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in collaboration with Children’s Trust and the City of Gainesville, with the program free to eligible Alachua County residents. - ➤ The Florida Museum of Natural History will host Pollinator Palooza on June 21 from 2 to 6 p.m. at First Magnitude Brewing Co.—attendees will enjoy free native plants, a pollinator-themed beer, food trucks, and educational displays to support National Pollinator Week. Alachua Chronicle

- ➤ Gainesville’s Wild Spaces & Public Places Department and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Duval Nature Park at 610 NE 24th St to unveil improvements including an ADA walking trail, a new playground, a pedestrian entrance, a grill & water fountain, stormwater fixes and a redesigned parking area, with a shuttle from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church at 9:30 a.m.; the project costs $322,870. Alachua Chronicle
- ➤ Gov. Ron DeSantis reappointed Mori Hosseini and Fred Ridley to the University of Florida Board of Trustees, and both appointments now await confirmation by the Florida Senate + Hosseini has served on the board since 2016 while Ridley is known as a prominent attorney and former U.S. Amateur golf champion.
