- ➤ GRU announced it will lower its electric fuel adjustment charge to 50 mills on June 1 as natural gas prices eased, cutting a 1,000-kWh residential electric bill by about $5 for customers ahead of summer. Alachua Chronicle

- ➤ Florida baseball opened the NCAA Regional Friday when Russell Sandefer started against Rider, his x-rays coming back negative (clearing an earlier arm injury). Coach Kevin O’Sullivan praised his command from a performance against Georgia and said he is ready for his NCAA tournament debut. WRUF

- ➤ Florida track athletes finished qualifiers in Lexington, securing 11 spots at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene from June 10-13.
