- ➤ Last weekend, the Santa Fe College Spring Arts Festival at the Northwest Campus at 3000 N.W. 83rd Street offered free art, music, and family activities. - ➤ Marjorie K Rawlings Elementary will end its year-round schedule next year after the Alachua County School Board voted 3 to 2 on Tuesday night, and community opinions remain split about the change & its effects on academics and family routines. WCJB

- ➤ Princeton guard Xaivian Lee verbally committed to join the Florida Gators after weighing offers from Kansas and St. John’s. He will file paperwork to make his promise official while he averaged nearly 17 points per game as a junior. WCJB
- ➤ Bobby Boser hit three solo home runs for Florida during its 14-4 win over Stetson at Condron Family Ballpark, becoming the first Florida player to accomplish this since Jac Caglianone on Feb. 26, 2023—he now leads the team with 14 homers and 42 RBIs this season. GatorSports
- ➤ The Florida Gators won a national championship without a top-100 high school recruit — marking the first modern-era title for a team built on overlooked transfers and lower-ranked recruits including standout Walter Clayton Jr., who led the charge under head coach Todd Golden. - ➤ Gators Track and Field will return home for the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational — the final home meet of the season — on Friday and Saturday as they prepare for the SEC Outdoor Championships in May. They will compete against teams including Tennessee, LSU and Alabama. WRUF
- ➤ The Gainesville High Hurricanes beat the visiting Columbia Tigers 2-1 on April 16th when they won in the final play to avenge their earlier 10-inning loss; pitcher McKenna O’Sullivan went the distance while key hits from Lauryn Lee and Lana Renicks helped secure a six-game homestand. WRUF
- ➤ On April 15, the Santa Fe College Saints softball team won both games of a doubleheader against the St. Petersburg College Titans—winning 10–2 in the first game and 12–2 in the second. The win brought the Saints to five wins in their last six games and extended the Titans' losing streak to 11. WRUF
