  • The Florida Gators returned Tuesday — holding a free welcome-home rally at Flavet Field where coach Todd Golden and team members addressed fans after a narrow 65-63 win over Houston in San Antonio — reuniting with local supporters.  WRUF
  • Florida Gators beat Houston Cougars in a close championship game while excited fans celebrated with street parties that left trash and broken glass in Midtown. City workers cleaned up quickly, with sweepers arriving at 2:15 a.m. and roads reopened by 3:30 a.m. — showing a fast local response to the post-victory mess.  WCJB
  • The Florida Gators came back from a 12-point deficit on April 8 to beat the Houston Cougars 65-63 at the Alamodome in San Antonio for their third national championship. The win marked their fourth comeback in six NCAA Tournament games and gave them a 12th consecutive victory.  WRUF
