- ➤ UF researchers are inviting horse owners in North Central Florida to join a study on equine joint pain offering lameness exams, radiographs and assessments over two years. Interested owners should email or call UF to join the study funded by NIH for better horse treatment. WCJB
- ➤ The University of Florida's Dance Marathon raised over $1.15 million for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital with events held March 28-29 at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center; the funds backed pediatric care, research and support services for families. WUFT
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Florida gymnastics won the NCAA Tempe Regional title Saturday night at Desert Financial Arena with a record 198.05 score that gave them their 42nd NCAA Championship berth. They will compete in the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth on Apr. 16 — 18. WCJB
- ➤ No. 5 Florida softball clinched a 5-4 walk-off win over No. 13 Mississippi State on Sunday when Townsen Thomas delivered the decisive play in the seventh inning. Pitcher Keagan Rothrock helped secure the win, and the Gators will face USF on Wednesday at 7 p.m. WRUF
- ➤ Florida’s baseball coach Kevin O’Sullivan is considering a starting pitcher switch after sophomore Aidan King’s (scoreless seven-inning) performance Friday against Ole Miss.
