- ➤ Gainesville filmmaker Tom Miller led his team to win six awards at the Puerto Aventuras International Film Festival in Mexico (March 25 to 29) where their dark comedy Audience took top honors including Best Feature Film and Best Director. - ➤ More than 1,000 Jewish students, faculty, alumni and community members gathered for a Passover Seder at UF’s O’Connell Center on April 1 — organizers said it was the largest single-seated Passover event in the nation, with university officials and local leaders in attendance to show support. - ➤ Florida wide receivers are showing strong improvement in spring practice under coaches Trent McKnight and Marcus Davis ahead of the Spring Game on Saturday, Apr. 11. - ➤ The No. 4 Gators men’s swim and dive team earned a silver medal at the NCAA meet held last Saturday at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, marking their best finish since 1985; senior Josh Liendo won three events, including setting a new record in the 100-meter butterfly. WRUF
- ➤ Under coach Jenny Rowland, Florida's gymnastics team posted high beam and bars scores, earned All-SEC honors and beat top-ranked teams this season. The team has a 14-meet win streak & is seen as a contender for a national title before key athletes graduate. WRUF
