- ➤ On Mar. 25, Horse Capital TV featured the rare Akhal-Teke horse breed, a group of horses with a metallic sheen that arrived recently in north central Florida+ the segment noted their historic value as one of the oldest groups in North America. WCJB

- ➤ According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Florida gas prices rose to $3.89 per gallon on Monday from $3.67 a week earlier, adding 107 cents over the past month. - ➤ HCA Healthcare started a new air medical route last week from Chiefland to help trauma patients mainly in Levy and Gilchrist counties. The high-tech helicopters (capable of flying over 150 mph with nearly a 400-mile range) add a vital link to a Gainesville hospital opening this spring. WCJB

- ➤ Florida Gators Gymnastics are set to compete in the NCAA regional as the #3 overall seed after winning the SEC tournament.
