EDUCATION NEWS

  • UF students will vote for Student Government positions on Feb. 24 and 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at eight campus polling sites (they must show valid ID and log in with GatorLink) as Vision candidates run on platforms from health to public safety.  The Independent Florida Alligator

  • The UF College of Nursing is hosting its inaugural North Central Florida Health Festival on Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bo Diddley Plaza — the free event celebrates the college’s 70th anniversary with health screenings, interactive booths, and kid-friendly activities.  Alachua Chronicle

  • Florida football hired former UF offensive line standout Phil Trautwein as the new offensive line coach for the 2026 season. He plans to bring a grinder mindset to improve technique & consistency on the line.  GatorSports
  • Florida baseball climbed to No. 10 in the USA Today Coaches Poll after a perfect 5-0 week. The Gators will host FIU today & tomorrow and then travel to Coral Gables to face Miami starting Feb. 27.  GatorSports
