- ➤ The Center for Nonprofit Excellence achieved 501(c)(3) status and now may expand its nonprofit education, support, and advocacy services in Gainesville. - ➤ The University of Florida introduced its concrete 3D printer today at the College of Engineering in Gainesville, which is expected to reduce construction times from years to a month and give students hands-on experience + boosting rapid shelter building for emergencies; its first structure will be printed this summer. - ➤ Gainesville residents face chill conditions today as nearby counties are under freeze warnings with temperatures in the 20s and 30s. Meteorologists say snow is unlikely because dry air should keep any wintry mix to a minimum. The Gainesville Sun

- ➤ In December, Alachua County home listings dropped to a median price of $314,488 (a 1.7% decrease from November), while Gainesville listings fell to $325,000; typical homes measured about 1,545 sqft costing between $203 and $208 per sqft. The Gainesville Sun
- ➤ Lee and Associates will open a new commercial real estate office in Gainesville soon with Dan Drotos (a Gainesville native) as founding President and Managing Principal. - ➤ Tuesday, the Florida Gators women defended their Sea Best Intercollegiate title by beating Duke by one stroke and posting their second-lowest score (836).
